Central Kentucky may sport the largest network of fences in the nation, largely due to it's designation as the horse capital of the world. But don't expect to find any barbed-wire or chain-link. The sprawling four bar fences are most commonly seen in traditional black, white or natural wood. However, the
dry stone fences, laboriously constructed of native limestone without any mortar, are worth the visit to Lexington alone.
That stone fence is absolutely beautiful, amazing and confounding.
