In Italy, an osteria is a cafe serving wine and simple food. In Philadelphia, Osteria is a superb restaurant on North Broad Street serving amazing house-made pizza and pasta. A three course meal of vegetable and bread soup, chicken liver rigatoni and dessert of pear and ginger crostata with a side of good company was the perfect way to end the work week on a blustery fall day.
